How it works
A few writers, one shared sound. This isn't about picking winners. It's about finding where Wolves lives, how far it can go, and what it isn't.
- Who are we? Each of you adds songs from your own phone or laptop: a link, a note on what grabs you, and tags for what it's about (Guitars, Synths, Overall…). Tag it Overall, or with up to three specific things (Guitars, Synths…); each tag turns the song into its own card, so a song can be judged on its guitars and its synths separately. Songs from earlier rounds are there to re-pick, so each round can start from what you already have. Nobody sees your songs until the round closes. When you've added what you want for this round, tap “I'm done adding.” Once everyone has, the round closes and placing starts. Adding pauses until you've placed and talked it through; then the band's owner can start another round to refine, as many times as you want.
- Place. On your own, put every card in a zone:
Home sounds like us · Inside we could go here · Edge as far as we'd go · Not this over the line
Nobody sees any placement, or who added which song, until everyone has placed every card in the round. Then they're revealed together.
- Discuss. Works in person or on your own time. "Where we are" shows what you agree on, where the tension is, and batches of splits to work through, starting with what leans Home and moving out to Not this. On each card, say why you put it there (a one-line note is optional), move your card if the others convince you, and name the element behind the split, not the genre: "chicken-pickin' lead," not "too country." Mark it settled once you've landed.
- Map. Where the round's songs landed, zone by zone: where all of you put them, or leaning where two of you did. Then the soak playlist to listen to together (Home and Inside, plus a few Edges), and how each tag landed.
Up to 13 songs each per round. Tag each one Overall, or with up to three specific things.
